Roadblock...

Good morning good people of the world (or whichever part of the day it is). It has been a while, and as I wipe off the dust covered volumes of my blog posts (over-dramatizing as always) I cannot help but feel happy and proud at what a brilliant writer I was. Yes, 'was'. I am an over conceited, self centered realist who accepts the fact that my brilliance is a fading entity in the world of literature. I know there will be a lot of skeptisism on the liberal use of the word “brilliance”, but I choose to exercise my imagination to the furthest there. Bear with me. The road to a good story is a journey that defines itself. You begin with a few roadblocks, the traffic, you change lanes and routes, hit a few dead ends before hitting the right track. This road is the one that takes you places. The vast expansive highway, away from the crowds, the breeze in your hair as emotions and circumstances pass you by. You feel the road, the people and things that make it and build it up in...

A year of change, where all is the same...

A season that promised so much, predictably disintegrated over the run in stage and Arsenal are back into the fight for fourth place as the season edges towards completion. Although, not all is gloomy. A FA cup final match against Hull City could provide the silver lining that the fans have been waiting for all these years, a trophy. That combined with a Champions League qualification should have been considered to be a satisfactory season, and one most fans would have taken had it been offered to them at the start of the season. However, it is best not to count your chickens before they hatch, for there is still much that can go wrong. With the sublime form of Everton, that fourth place qualification spot is no certainty, and the League Cup final defeat against Birmingham in recent times is still fresh on the minds of most Arsenal fans. But this season could have been so much more. A team that tops the table for twenty three game weeks cannot be a fluke surely? Sure, Champions Leagu...

Because...

I used to think of myself as a bit of a writer, and now I have trouble stringing two sentences together. As countless times afore, I strive once again to retrieve this blog from the dark dusty depths of a writer’s block that I have subjected it to. What to say when the creative juices don’t flow? “Yappity, yappity, yap!” sounds reasonable enough to me. But as good an opening as that may be, I fail to follow it up with anything that holds any semblance to sanity. So screw sanity, you tell me? Fair enough. So I knock on the doors of insanity and a voice inside tells me I’m crazy. Oh the irony! Life moves at its own pedestrian pace. With graduation day approaching, people are getting edgy. Reflecting on their past choices, striving for a better future whilst dreaming of the little big joys in life as the wide world now calls to them. These are exciting yet scary times fraught with frustration and disappointment. Many trials now lay ahead and with perseverance one can overcome the...

A little too less maybe...

I promise to keep this short and vague...

Tomorrow I embark on a great adventure. An experience that is to be cherished for a lifetime, and yet, I leave with a heavy heart. The clouds of gloom refuse to clear. Thankless? Maybe. And I'm sorry for it. Why this sense of morbid sadness? I think I know. I leave the answer behind. “How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!" Some optimism will go a long way here, but there are some things that are hard to let go of. Some, we cherish as special, some are fears that we harbor, that gnaw away in the darkest corners of our mind. "The world forgetting, by the world forgot." There is of course much hope to be sought and much cheer to provided by the wonderful world around us. And it is that which keeps the clouds from bursting, the lightning from striking. The fears diminished, with the hope of replenishment, the gloom lifting, with the reign of hope. "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!" Maybe tomorrow, the sun will shine once...

So I'm married to a headache now ( Six out of every ten married couples could sue me for plagiarism over that, which again is ironic, because, well, there are six in every ten of them! ) Nobody got that joke within a joke within a joke, did they? Nevermind. This post isn't about troubled marriages, it's about me having a headache, getting bored and making everyone's life a living hell. Lets begin with a little story. A long, long time ago, there was a man named Moses, who was chosen by God to be his local postman kinda chap. Deliver his messages and all that. Awesome chap that. Took a bunch of people over to Jerusalem, by parting the Red Sea and all. Ofcourse, in those days, Israel had no nuclear weapons so people had more confidence and courage to pull off stuff like that, but I'm diverting here. Well, one day, God called his favourite scribe over to a mountain top. They sat down for some drinks and snacks, and God told Moses, and I quote, "Bro, I'm g...
