I'm going to let off some steam here, because hell, my blog, my wish! This Sunday saw the grand finale of the 2012/13 Barclays Premiere League Season. It's fair to say Manchester United laughed themselves over the line this time around. Well played, well deserved. The gaffer's on his way out, and I for one, am none too sad about it. Sir Alex Ferguson is surely one of the greatest managers of all time and I respect that, but I can't stand that arrogant, pompous old Scotsman and the fact that his leaving will cut the strength of this United squad to half is all the more reason that I am delighted that he's riding off into the sunset. He was by no stretch of the imagination, one of the greatest players of the game. There are too many in the history of the sport who far outshine him in technique and ability. Players who have made a much stronger impression in shaping the history of the game. However, having said that, in footballs glorious history, it will be very hard to find a better ambassador of the sport. He brought into the game, the glitz, the glamour. It is time that sets the benchmarks for good and bad. We can only be as good as time lets us be, and as bad as we can be within our allotted time. How fleeting are the sands of time, and blessed are those who can enjoy the satisfaction and joy of real goodness, or suffer the utter desolation and regret of sheer evil. For the rest of us, there are only shades of grey.

There is so much in this world that we take for granted. With every passing night, we take a new day for granted. A mother's love, we take for granted. A father's care, we take for granted. Happiness we see as our right. Success we hold as our destiny. A lover's affection, we demand, a friend's companionship we expect. A hand to wipe away the tears, a shoulder for every sorrow, we seek. A long life, and peace, we take as our own. Troubles, we discard as a burden for some other, the fruits of someone else's labour we crave as our goal. If tomorrow, God took away everything. Bared the world of all living beings. Place us all under a conditional existence. The condition being simple. To inhabit the world, one must hold the love and affection of another but every being can only choose one other whom they love most, and not more. Will we still exist in such a world? There is so much in this world that we take for granted.

I'm being unreasonably irritable for a couple of weeks now. Worse, I have developed this new habit of actually taking out my irritation and I genuinely apologize to all those of whom that are forced to suffer it. So, exam times once more. Same old, same old. Well, not quite. This time I actually, believe it or not, made a bit of an effort to put in some hours with the books. Maybe it was the guilt of having to pay a hefty fine over my attendance, maybe it was the need to live up to expectations(I overestimate, as usual), maybe it was the need to please, or maybe it was all of those or none of it. Bottom line, in this sweltering May heat, I've spent many a wakeful hour alternately poring over pages upon pages of incomprehensible rubbish, or sitting in the quiet of my little balcony as the dark night lifts to paint a picture of dawn.
